Setting up Ticketmaster Credentials for Reveal Markets

On 07/01/2023 Ticketmaster transitioned from a Broker API (BAPI) to a TradeDesk API (TDAPI). Due to this transition customers are now required to add Reveal Markets as a user within TradeDesk. This is necessary because once Reveal Markets is added as a user and given the necessary credentials, those credentials act as an API token. This gives Reveal the ability to ensure data is imported timely and accurately. Along with adding Reveal as a user we ask you input your primary TradeDesk username and password, into your credentials page.


This article will walk you through adding your TradeDesk username and password into the credentials page within Reveal. As well as, how to find your Ticketmaster broker ID and use that ID to create a unique Reveal Markets email. Once that email is created you will use that as the username when creating credentials for Reveal Markets.

Inputting Primary TradeDesk Credentials into Reveal Markets

  1. Log Into Reveal

  1. Credentials Page

  1. Select the TicketMaster Tile

  1. Input the Primary Username and Password YOU use to Log Into TradeDesk

Finding Ticketmaster Broker ID


  1. Log into login.ticketmaster.com

  1. Go to Dashboard

  1. Copy the Broker ID from your Ticketmaster Dashboard


Create Reveal Markets Unique Username


  1. Using your unique broker ID from Ticketmaster create a Reveal Markets email that follows the template below

  • TM_(Broker ID)@revealmarkets.com
  • Be sure to replace (Broker ID) with your unique Ticketmaster Broker ID, found in the steps above.

Add Reveal Markets as a User


  1. Log into login.ticketmaster.com
  2. Go to Permissions

  1. Add a User

  1. Make sure to set up the Applications/Permission on that user to "Permissions" and "Trade Desk"

Once these steps are completed you will receive a message showing that a new user was added. From there Reveal Markets will be able to apply this information to your account as well as manage any new API updates.

Do I need to change the password for Reveal Markets new user?

Nope! Once you create Reveal Markets as a user we are able to manage the password.


Do I need to keep my master credentials up to date within the Reveal Markets portal?

Yes! To ensure we are able to fix one off discrepancies we always require your username and password to be entered within your Reveal Markets portal.


Why do I need to keep those credentials up to date if Reveal Markets has API access?

Although we do have API access and are able to import the majority of data, there are one-off issues that need to be manually addressed.
